Would Israel exist without the Holocaust? The modern rebirth of Jewish self-governance gives some people a justification for the worst event in Jewish history. Why is this cause-and-effect relationship compelling? Why does it profoundly weaken Israel's credibility in the marketplace of nations? What is Israel's relationship to the Holocaust?
about the speaker
Mark came to his position as Executive Director of Los Angeles Museum of the Holocaust after working at Bet Tzedek Legal Services, where he helped survivors apply for reparations. Mark eared an M.F.A. in film production from U.S.C., where he concentrated on documentary. He formed Ness Productions, a video production company, and produced documentaries and educational and corporate videos for 10 years. Mark spent a year after college living and working in Jerusalem, where he worked on the Demjanjuk war crimes trial. He also interviewed dozens of survivors for the USC Shoah Foundation.
