Where? Arbeter Ring Mural 1525 South Robertson, Los Angeles, CA 90035
Join BINA for a bus tour of Jewish Murals around Los Angeles. Public murals took stride in conjunction with the civil rights movements during the 60’s and 70’s, so most of us don’t associate this art form with the Jewish community, but Los Angeles has a rich history of Jewish murals. We will spend the afternoon visiting these sights and learning the history through the eyes of these artists from an expert.
Kosher snacks and beverages will be provided on the bus. Space is limited!
Murals included in the tour:
Arbeter Ring
Cantor’s Deli
National Council of Jewish Women
Chagall Returns to Venice Beach

I am an art, food and Los Angeles enthusiast. A transplant from Colorado, via Ohio, I have been in Los Angeles for a little over 3.5 years and love to take advantage of all that this city has to offer. You can read about and see pictures of my many adventures and art/food dialogue on my blog, llafwithjanna.virb.com. I received my masters in cultural studies from Claremont Graduate University, where I focused on contemporary Jewish arts and culture in America. Currently, I am working for the American Friends of the Israel Museum in Beverly Hills.
